biography

like most viera women, her surname is locative, and points toward dalmasca as her origin. she bears no traceable accent, and speaks any number of languages--even those esoteric in origin or not often shared with outsiders, a fact which muddies the water as to her history.she is an accomplished martial artist, and while her weapon of choice appears to be the scythe, the manner in which she wields it has only a little in common with the traditional garlean art that sprung up around its usage.if one spends enough time in sharlayan to recognize kaiphas, doubtless they will have encountered jona as well: trailing behind him like a silent shadow.

although of average height and build, jona archades cuts a striking figure. her pallid skin strikes a strong contrast with her dark hair and garb even at a distance.closer, one may take note particularly of her eyes. while dark sclera and white, glowing limbals are unremarkable in au ra, they are a particular curiosity in a veena woman. stranger and more beautiful still are her irises--dark enough to obscure the pupil; when the light strikes them just so, a riot of color is revealed, shifting with her movements through a muted rainbow.the tattoos she sports bear a more muted effect, though color still dances through them like the nacre of a black pearl. her every limb is marked so, the ink spilling over her in whorls and eddies like the surface of a dark stream, more concentrated on thighs and biceps than the lower extremities. her chest and back are likewise marked, glimpses of these sparser markings occasionally visible through her garb.her long hair she wears unbound, and occasionally she might deign to pin a flower in it--a mark of gentleness upon a body not otherwise given to it.her expressions are similarly harsh--her resting face is closed and almost forbidding, but if laughter never lightens her brow, neither does anger darken it. the tone of her voice is similarly modulated, though its timbre is pleasant enough despite the occasional flatness of her affect.
